In this episode Jamie Cochrane joins me in talking about 2 movies with proper names in the title, highly stylized, and released in December 2004 . These movies have a lot in common… Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events – TV Show
There are 3 seasons of the show with 25 episodes. From the looks of it I got to the 2nd episode of season 2. Also, they do 2 episodes per book in the series except for the final episode.
The Aflac Duck
Yes, it is technically product placement but only if you catch it and have seen any of the commercials.
Here’s a commercial. The duck is voiced by Gilbert Godfrey. https://youtu.be/o6pkAriA7aI
Here is the clip I am talking about. https://youtu.be/tsIYleoAQpY
It’s real!
Count Olaf’s Car
According to IMDB, Count Olaf’s car is a 1960 Imperial Crown Limousine by Ghia.
And, interestingly, Mr. Poe’s car is the Tatra 603, a car built during the Cold War in Czechoslovakia.
I don’t remember any other cars in the movie.
